2005-2006 pontiac gto owners - i have some basic questions about the car...?

I am looking for a future car, and right now, my mind is set to get a 05-06 pontiac GTO. you know - the GTO with the LS2 rated at 400 hp/400 torque. however, i have a few questions to current/previous owners before i can really make a decision.

a few things i could not find online -

-what is the fuel tank capacity?

-what are your average miles per tank, and how conservatively do you drive?

-how many miles between oil changes?

-ive heard leaking struts a problem - how many people faced the problem?

-any other major potential problems?

-any minor problems?

-things you like/dislike about the car? (besides %26quot;its a fun car%26quot;)

-and lastly, would you recommend this car as a daily driver.

thanks for your feedback.2005-2006 pontiac gto owners - i have some basic questions about the car...?
I have seen a few strut problems with them at my dealership. It has an 18 gallon tank with a rating of 16 to 21 city /hwy. Most people change the oil every 3000 but you can do up to 5000 miles. One big issue we have had is parts and how long it takes to get them %26quot;weeks%26quot; so if your car is down it will take some time to get parts. I love the launch mode in the auto transmission. We sold a few of them and some people use them as daily drivers but most are used as a fun weekend car.2005-2006 pontiac gto owners - i have some basic questions about the car...?
It was tested by the japanese Drifter drivers who drifted it sideways around the track in 4 wheel drifts that is a poular sport in Japan.

They where very impressed as in standard form it beat their souped up car. (impressive in handling).

You should get about 34 mpg on the highway. Thats the 4.5Litre gallon, not US gallon, and driving like grandma, 60 mph2005-2006 pontiac gto owners - i have some basic questions about the car...?
hey there, i got a 06 A4 GTO and heres my info

-Tank holds 18 gallons of 91

-I get about 18-23 and i drive mainly on the freeway going 80-90 to school, on the A4 i average about 340 miles on a full tank. I drove it from Los Angeles to El Paso Texas and was getting 440 miles to a tank, and had to only fill up three times for one pass.

-Since it uses synthetic you should change it between 5000-6500 miles, i personally go 7000 cause i use royal purple as its the best.

-Never had a strut problem nor the people i know who have GTO's.

-No major problems, the car wasn't designed to fail you in the future. Anything that goes out is because of basic time wear or you abuse it too much.

-Minor none really, if any nothing the dealership can repair.

-There is nothing i dislike about this car, its unique looking, its got the power of a corvette (literally same engine and tranny), handles well cause its a GT chassy, the seats are very comfortable and you can fit someone who is 5'11 in the back seats. Its decently sporty inside with plenty of aftermarket and OEM parts from australia you can get for it, the rims are tight, and only vise is the stereo can be louder. so change out the amp

-yes i recommend this car for daily, i drive everywhere i go from work, to school, going out, its a solid car.

I own a 05 GTO...

-fuel capacity about 18 gal.

-I average about 17 mpg....23 on a road trip.

-the oil life monitor system goes off between 3500 and 5500 miles(uses synthetic)

-no problems with struts or anything (28000 miles)

-only problem is keeping tread on the tires.

-I like it because its fast...it pulls hard at 60-70 for passing...

-the brakes are 'killer'...(%26quot;tight%26quot; for you younger kids)

-My kids don't like climbing into the back seat.....but its comfortable once your back there.

-not much trunk space....only good for haulin' a**
