How do I change my stabilizer bar strut?

I have a 2003 ford escape, and when I go over a bump it makes a clunking noise. I found out that from the front shock there is a strut connected to the stabilizer arm. When I grab it and shake it it clunks, worn joint I think. How do I change my stabilizer bar strut?
Very common on Fords where the stabilizer bar link connects between the strut and front sway bar. You can save a few bucks of you have an Advance Auto auto parts store near by. They have TRW steel links complete with grease fittings on both ends. Ford replacements are a few dollars more expensive and you'll notice they've switched from the usual plastic links to steel with grease fittings. Carquest and NAPA has them also at comparable prices.
